Reliability Engineer - Electrical

Based at our KCGM operations, the Reliability Engineer - Electrical reports to the Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer, their purpose is to provide specialist reliability service and support to maintenance about how to balance cost, time, and asset life to optimise plant performance and maximise the overarching long and short-term goals of the site.

 

** This is a Kalgoorlie residential role on a 5:2/4:3 (9 hour shift) roster. The successful applicant will reside in the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region. **

 

Our team operates the following equipment:

  • Mills (Sag and Ball),
  • Crushers (Gyratory and Cone),
  • Complex ROM conveying systems,
  • Various types of pumps,
  • Hydraulic systems,
  • Flotation columns,
  • Thickeners,
  • Gold room equipment,
  • CILs, etc to name a few key ones.

 

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or above, with relevant equivalent experience
  • Experience in a gold or mineral processing environment, preferably in the reliability sector
  • Proficiency in reading electrical drawings
  • Sound analytical skills and the ability to think laterally
  • Ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by thinking outside of the box delivering alternative outcomes
  • Familiarity with the Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations
  • Advanced computer literacy, in particular all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite and Visual Basic tools for data analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with excellent presentation skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills enabling liaison at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to work to a high standard under pressure
  • Must reside within the Goldfields region
  • National Police Clearance within twelve (12) months of age
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence
