Recruitment Officer

Northern Star Mining Services has an exciting opportunity to join our team in Kalgoorlie as a Recruitment Officer on a 6-month fixed term contract. In this key role, you will support our operations across Western Australia, focusing on attracting top talent for trades and underground mining roles.

This residential role in Kalgoorlie is well suited to an individual with strong administrative, communication, and relationship-building skills who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Position Details:

• Job Title: Recruitment Officer
• Location: Kalgoorlie – Centrally located
• Employment Type: 6 Month Fixed term
• Roster: 5/2/4/3 (10 hour days)

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment, from job advertising through to interviews, in collaboration with hiring managers.
• Oversee pre-commencement checks to ensure compliance with all regulatory and organisational standards.
• Coordinate and facilitate group interviews to assess candidates effectively.
• Lead site mobilisation activities to ensure smooth onboarding.
• Proactively source candidates for challenging and hard-to-fill roles while maintaining talent pools.
• Represent Northern Star Mining Services at industry events and recruitment fairs to attract top talent.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous recruitment experience is preferred but not essential – a passion for people and recruitment counts!
• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Current Australian “C” Class Manual Driver’s Licence.
• Legal right to work in Australia.
