Our KCGM Growth Project Team has a enticing opportunity for a Project Superintendent - Dry & Wet Plant to join the Northern Star technical team  managing the major expansion & modernisation at the KCGM Gold Processing Plant in Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the Senior Construction Manage, this position is FIFO from Perth on a rolling 2/1 roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Manage the Dry & Wet Plant project from start to finish, ensuring safety and compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Issue and oversee Permits to Work (PTWs) for various construction activities, including electrical, mechanical, and civil scopes.
  • Verify construction readiness through site inspections and documentation reviews.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, and HSE teams to ensure accurate scope understanding and compliance.
  • Track and report on project progress and contractor performance.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements and company policies.
  • Support project execution, HSE, QA/QC, and closeout activities while minimizing impact on operations.
  • Assist the Senior Construction Manager with daily coordination and resolve engineering issues.
  • Promote continuous improvement and collaboration between NSR, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Address issues promptly and escalate potential problems when necessary.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Minimum of 10 + years of experience in construction verification, procedure writing, and safety compliance.
  • Strong understanding of construction, electrical, mechanical, and safety procedures.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in HSE standards or related fields (preferred).
