We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Geologist to join our Growth team at our Kanowna Belle Operations, working an 8/6 12-hour day shifts only roster.

 

This position will see the successful candidate designing and supervising the execution and interpretation of drill programs that add value to existing resources, locating the next viable ore bodies, and extending the Life of Mine.

 

Here's what awaits you:

  • Provide training and mentorship to Graduate Geologists, Geologists and Geology Technicians.
  • Coordinate the design, scheduling, and oversight of drilling programs to ensure the provision of timely and accurate data for analysis. Liaise and clearly communicate plan with numerous stake holders.
  • Supervise drill contractors, demanding adherence to all relevant environmental, safety and security measures.
  • Oversee the analysis, interpretation, and modelling of geological data.
  • Creating detailed wireframes of geology and mineralisation to guide our exploration efforts.
  • Present and defend interpretation based on geological merit to peers and various stakeholders

Requirements

Essential

  • Degree majoring in Geology from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.

 

Preferred

  • Minimum Three (3) years geological experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, set achievable goals and safely achieve tasks is required.
  • Experience with software packages such as Leapfrog, Datamine and Acquire.
  • Exposure to geological modelling and wireframing.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Good communication skills.
