We have an enticing residential Project Engineer – Electrical position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 5/2 4/3 (9-hour days) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • The Project Engineer reports to the Senior Project Engineer, and the primary role is to complete the assigned projects and assist other team members with specialize discipline within the Project Department.
  • Ability to understand project lifecycle, stage gates and change control. Compete assigned KPIs. Experience with cost control, estimating and forecasting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Passionate about safety, teamwork, honesty, integrity & results driven. Understanding of engineering standards and able to read drawings.
  • Ability to develop project scopes, technical documentation, drawings and specifications. Coordinate design reviews, constructability reviews and risk assessments.
  • Ability to manage technical queries, RFIs, design changes and engineering records. Liaise with internal & external stakeholders. Attend/arrange project meetings and provide technical support. Manage and track stakeholder requirements and ensure alignment with project scope

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: 1 to 3 years’ experience in engineering or project delivery within construction or industrial environment. Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Project, AutoCad (preferable) etc. Good communication skills and ability to work within diverse team.  Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practices tasks. Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. Knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations & National Standards.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution. Formal Project Management qualification (Preferable). Current Unencumbered “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence. National Police Clearance within twelve months. First Aid certificate (Preferable).
