Due to continued growth within our new division, Northern Star Surface Mining (NSSM) is seeking an experienced Production Superintendent operating on an 8/6 Roster FIFO basis from Perth. This role offers long-term stability and a genuinely fulfilling career opportunity.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of surface mining activities from planning through to operational execution
- Manage scope, schedule, budget and risk to ensure projects are delivered safely and on time
- Coordinate and maximise the effectiveness of personnel, equipment and resources
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
- Provide structured reporting, governance and commercial oversight across multiple workstreams
- Identify areas for improvement, assess training requirements and provide coaching and development opportunities for staff
To thrive in this role you will need:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale mining projects
- Strong understanding of surface mining operations and project lifecycles
- Demonstrated capability in influencing support functions to be able to deliver the best result.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders in fast-paced operational environments
- Strong risk management and problem-solving skillsQualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the Regulation/Legislation
- S26 Statutory certification.
- Unrestricted Quarry Manager ticket – desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build relationships across the team and departments.
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
