We have an enticing residential Processing Supervisor position awaiting you at the world class Gidji Operation which is part of the KCGM operation which boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour days and nights) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

 

  • Manage the performance of the processing plant, tailings delivery and tailings deposition in accordance with agreed safety, environmental and production KPI’s. Ensure agreed safety, environmental and production KPI’s are communicated clearly and effectively to all crew members.
  • Allocation of daily tasks for all crew members. Prioritise resources and coordinate all unplanned work that arises over the course of the week. Liaise with Metallurgists and the Processing Superintendent regarding operating parameters and technical issues in relation to plant operation and communicate to relevant operators.
  • Develop and train crew members in all areas of the plant, striving towards employee level advancement of personnel. Work with the Processing Superintendent to facilitate ongoing skill assessment and development of crew members.
  • Operate in accordance with and comply with the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Ensure crew members are adequately inducted and trained in their work area and are aware of all workplace rules and critical procedures applying at site.
  • Display a clear commitment to responsible environmental management. Operate in accordance with the Company’s Environmental Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the mining industry and 2 years’ experience in leadership role. Sound knowledge in gold processing and classified plant management. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead a team to achieve organisational goals. High level of knowledge in statutory safety and environmental requirements relevant to plant maintenance and classified plant. Good level of knowledge in computer literacy, in particular Pronto and MS Office. Ability to plan and or anticipate likely scenarios as related to all key responsibility areas. Able to effectively allocate the organisation’s resources to achieve business requirements.

 

Qualifications: Current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s License. National Police Clearance. High Risk Work Licence – Working at Heights. High Risk Work Licence – Confined space and Gas Tester. High Risk Work Licence – Forklift Licence (LF). High Risk Work Licence – Dogging. High Risk Work licence – Rigger (Desirable). High Risk Work Licence – Elevated Work Platform (EWP).
