We have a challenging yet rewarding opportunity as a Processing Manager awaiting you at our KCGM Operations where you will work a 8/6 12 hour days only roster, managing the process operations, plant maintenance, and associated laboratory services.
Success in this role is demonstrated by consistent recovery performance which delivers forecast production results in a safe and efficient manner. A focus on constant review and optimisation of the process, development of the team and coupled with a strategic focus for a seamless integration of the new plant.
FIFO may be an option for the right candidate.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Show strong leadership through well-developed communication skills including managing for performance and the ability to communicate processing operations information to management
- Manage the full value chain of the Processing plant to deliver continuous, efficient, and optimal recovery
- Drive continuous improvement in ore processing and gold recovery while engaging and motivating the processing workforce to achieve high performance
- Build capability of the Processing teams through skill development, coaching and succession planning
- Support and engagement with the Maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability
- Actively contribute to site safety policy and new initiatives and implement change as directed by the Manager – Processing.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge in gold processing and classified plant management with a minimum of 10 year’s experience in processing and exposure to senior management.
A successful track record of delivering recovery improvement, ability to provide strong and effective direction, guidance and influence with demonstrated success in leading a team will be highly desirable. Mechanical experience will also be considered. Experience and understanding of continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
Qualifications: A current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s License is required, a Metallurgical Engineer, Metallurgist, Chemical Engineer or Mechanical qualification.
