We have an enticing Processing Coordinator position awaiting you at the world class Kanowna Belle Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 5/2 4/3 (10-hour days) roster.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Supervise the operation of the processing plant with the guidance of the Metallurgy Team. Training the Processing Department how to run the plant efficiently and safely. Identify and coordinate improvement projects as required to allow department targets to be met.
  • Manage the performance of the processing staff via training programs, performance management and appropriate discipline. Manage the department roster and ensure adequate coverage to safely and efficiently operate the processing plant. Ensure talent is identified and have a succession plan in place.
  • Champion the isolation and permit practices in the Processing Department. Act as Surface Incident Controller as required. Monitor compliance and improve performance as required.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are followed so that environmental impacts are minimised. Operate in accordance with the Company’s Environmental Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage ROM activities to ensure contracting company complies with NSR procedures.
  • Be a part of maintenance and project planning to ensure production needs are met.
  • Interface with the Maintenance Department to ensure the plant availability and utilisation is maintained at target levels. Seek and follow guidance from the Metallurgists for the best way to operate the plant. Ensure the processing plant is delivered on schedule to the Maintenance Department to the required standard for maintenance events.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: 10 years’ experience in operating gravity, leaching, elution, gold smelting circuits and tailings storage facilities. 5 years’ experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor of a processing crew. Incident investigation skills. Computer literacy – email, Word, Excel. PRONTO experience (desirable). Preferable INX experience (desirable). Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications: Certificate IV in Frontline Management (Desirable). Preferable ICAM incident investigation skills (Desirable). Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
