We have an enticing residential Process Technician (Paste Plant) position awaiting you at the world class Kanowna Belle Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour days and nights) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Maintain close liaison with Paste Plant Supervisor. Operate the paste plants according to site procedures. Comply with the fill plan provided by the Paste Fill Coordinator/Production Engineers. Complete planned/unplanned maintenance tasks as required.
  • Undertake regular inspections of all working paste plant activity areas as required to ensure safe operations. Completion of service sheets and work order paperwork as required. Ensure housekeeping is maintained. Comply with and undertake additional / alternative responsibilities as reasonably requested by their supervisor.
  • Ensure communication of key safety and production issues with Paste Plant Supervisor. Maintain a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Operate in accordance with and comply the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Ensure personnel are adequately inducted in their work area and are aware of all workplace rules and critical procedures.
  • Display a clear commitment to responsible environmental management. Operate in accordance with the Company’s Environmental Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the mining industry. At least 2 years’ experience in a similar backfill role. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels. Knowledge of competency-based training and assessment methods. Auditing or inspection experience. Awareness of Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.

Qualifications: Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence. National Police Clearance within 12 months. St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
