We have an enticing residential Process Technician position awaiting you at the world class Kanowna Belle Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour days and nights) roster.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Communicate and act on daily instructions from the crew leader. Effectively communicate with the cross shifts to obtain and transfer relevant production information.
- Communicate with maintenance to discuss any planned maintenance or other problems identified in the plant. Promptly report any operational variances from nominated set points to crew leader.
- Exposure to large industrial equipment, electrical parts, chemicals, cold, heat, dust, lubricants, noise, weather, confined spaces and heights. Adhere to the clean-shaven policy while working with in the processing plant.
- Display a clear commitment to safety and health and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment. Operate in accordance with and comply the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment. Operate in accordance to Air Quality Conditions (AQC), to ensure there are no breaches.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: In the minerals processing industry. Work with attention to detail. Good communication skills. Keen to learn and asks for help. Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. Ability to work unsupervised. Able to work as part of a team. and foster team building relationships (be a good team fit). Ability to train and transfer knowledge in alignment with the department training matrix.
Reporting to the Process Supervisor, the Process Technician is responsible for operating sections of the processing plant, which include Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Leaching, Elution, Roasting and Paste Plant in accordance with specified parameters, to optimize gold production/recovery. This also includes basic maintenance of operational equipment within the Processing Department.
Qualifications: Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
