We have an enticing residential Process Technician position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour days and nights) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Effectively communicate with the cross shifts, maintenance and team members to obtain and transfer relevant production information, including planned maintenance. Communicate and act on daily instructions from the crew leader.
  • Identify, report on and rectify risks, associated with exposure to large industrial equipment, electrical parts, chemicals, cold, heat, dust, lubricants, noise, weather, confined spaces and heights.
  • Promptly report any operational variances from nominated set points to crew leader. Ensure operational; checks are completed and noted defects are actioned or escalated to the crew leader.
  • Display a clear commitment to safety and health and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment.
  • Proactive involvement with continuous improvement processes. Active participation in all communication and awareness systems. Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: 2 years of processing experience at a processing plant. Able to work as part of a team and foster team building relationships (be a good team fit). Ability to work unsupervised. Ability to train and transfer knowledge in alignment with the department training matrix. Work with attention to detail. Good communication skills. Keen to learn and asks for help. Minimum 1 year’s relevant experience in the minerals processing industry. Basic Computer literacy – Microsoft Office and Excel.

 

Qualifications: Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
