About the role:
We have an enticing residential Process Technician – Utilities position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour days) roster.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Complete general housekeeping duties including hosing to ensure the process plant is maintained to a high standard. Undertake replenishment of portable reagent stocks to ensure continuous supply to the Fimiston Processing Plant for optimum gold recovery.
- Undertake Shutdown preparation duties - cleaning of chutes, hoppers, cells and launders to ensure equipment is ready for shutdown maintenance tasks and inspections. Conduct cleaning out of CIL Tanks to ensure draining and hosing of the remaining slurry contents is conducted in readiness for Maintenance inspections.
- Set up mobile pumps as required in bunded areas and sumps wells and conduct regular daily operational checks to ensure safe operation. Undertake evacuation of rubbish bins to ensure cleanliness of plant is maintained. Assist with mercury waste storage and disposal.
- Provide input to regular revisions of Work Instructions to assist in ensuring they are reflective of required work to be performed. Comply with all reasonable and lawful instructions that are consistent with your contract of employment.
- Display a clear commitment to safety and health and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment. Proactive involvement with continuous OHS improvement processes. Inspect work area for safety, equipment operation, housekeeping and cleanliness.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience:
- Developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Moderate computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
Qualifications:
- Confined Space Entry Certificate
- Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
- High Risk Licence – Forklift (Desired)
- Working at Heights Certificate (Desired)
- Provide First Aid (Desired)
