We have an enticing residential Process Technician – Leading Hand position awaiting you at the world class Kanowna Belle Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour days and nights) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Contribute to the performance of the processing plant, tailings delivery and tailings deposition in accordance with agreed safety, environmental and production KPI’s. Ensure agreed safety, environmental and production KPI’s are communicated clearly and effectively to all crew members.
  • Ensure crew members undertake clearly defined duties and responsibilities. Provide coaching and development to employees of a lower level. Assist in managing performance and productivity of the team. Contribute to the development and maintenance of procedures for tasks performed by the Processing Team.
  • Assist in the allocation of daily tasks for all crew members when required. Initiate work orders for maintenance works when required. Provide input into operational improvements of the processing plant. Assist the Supervisor to coordinate all unplanned work that arises over the course of the week.
  • Display a clear commitment to safety and health and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment. Operate in accordance with and comply the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Proactive involvement with continuous OHS improvement processes.
  • Display a clear commitment to responsible environmental management. Operate in accordance with the Company’s Environmental Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the mining industry. Previous supervisor experience (desirable). Sound understanding of fixed plant maintenance principals and their application in practice. Sound knowledge of operation of fixed gold processing plant equipment. High level of knowledge in statutory safety and environmental requirements relevant to plant maintenance and classified plant. Good level of knowledge in computer literacy, in particular MS Office. Ability to plan and or anticipate likely scenarios as related to all key responsibility areas. Able to effectively allocate the organisation’s resources to achieve business requirements. Effective time management. Ability to develop appropriate action plans in order to respond to current and emerging issues. Ability to work unsupervised. Sound leadership skills. Good communication skills.

Qualifications: Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence. Western Australian Construction White Card.
