We have an enticing 12-month fixed term residential  Process Technician – Gold Room position awaiting you at the world class Kanowna Belle Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 5/2, 4/3 (10-hour days) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Reporting to the Gold Room Supervisor, the primary role is to operate all gold recovery sections of the Processing Plant. Adhere to the clean-shaven policy while working with in the processing plant. Operation of the gold recovery processes according to process parameters and reporting any variance. Operation of gravity circuit including Knelson concentrators and Gekko ILR.
  • Operation of elution circuit and daily TSF inspections. Maintain security of gold, gold concentrates and gold dore at all times, including confidentially for gold management including shipments. Maintain accurate records of gold bullion inventory at all times. Operation of elution circuit and daily TSF inspections.
  • Monitor stock levels of gold room reagents and consumables to consistently meet operational requirements. Perform plant and equipment isolations as per the procedure. Communicate effectively with the cross shifts to obtain and transfer relevant production information.
  • Communicate with the maintenance team to discuss any planned maintenance or other problems identified in the plant. Ensure operational checks are completed and noted defects are actioned or escalated to the production coordinator. Strict compliance with site security policies and procedures. Comply with and undertake additional or alternative responsibilities as reasonably requested by your supervisor.
  • Display a clear commitment to safety and health and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment. Operate in accordance with and comply the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Proactive involvement with continuous OHS improvement processes.

 

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: Ability to work unsupervised with a high level of trust working around precious metals. Ability to work as part of a team and foster team building relationships (be a good team fit). Ability to train and transfer knowledge in alignment with the department training matrix. Work with attention to detail. Keen to learn and asks for help. Minimum 1 year’s relevant experience in the gold mining industry. Computer literacy – Microsoft Office and Excel. Good communication skills. Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all gold room tasks. Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.

Qualifications: Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence. National Police Clearance. St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
