We have an enticing Ore Quality Controller position awaiting you at the iconic KCGM Superpit that boasts a +10-year mine life. This Kalgoorlie Residential Role is on a Lifestyle/Family Friendly Even Time Roster - 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on and 7 days off.

Here's what awaits you:

The Ore Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring the quality extraction and movement of ore from source to final destination. This role leverages advanced technology as well as traditional practices to maintain grade integrity, optimise ore flow, and support production targets. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Despatch team and Geology department to ensure ore is extracted, tracked, and delivered to the correct locations efficiently and accurately. 

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Previous experience in mining, geology, despatch, or ore control is highly desirable. 
  • Exposure to production geology and/or stockpile management will be highly regarded. 
  • Supervisory or training experience is advantageous. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively within a mining environment. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of load and haul processes will be highly regarded.
  • Experience using Fleet Management Systems such as Wenco, or similar platforms, at an advanced user level will be highly regarded.
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Manual Drivers Licence.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct ore movement discrepancies. 
  • Critical thinker with sound problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in real time. 
  • Excellent communication skills – able to engage confidently with operators, geology, and despatch teams. 
  • Confident and proactive in high-pressure operational environments. 
  • Competent in basic mathematics for grade tracking and reconciliation tasks. 
  • Comfortable with technology while also capable of applying traditional ore spotting methods.
