We have an enticing Ore Quality Controller position awaiting you at the iconic KCGM Superpit that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed Open Pit Mining team. This Kalgoorlie Residential Role is on a Lifestyle/Family Friendly Even Time Roster - 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on and 7 days off.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Being responsible and accountable for the optimal and efficient ore digging and delivery to the required stockpiles as per the Geology plan.
- Accountability for the interaction with mine site operations and Geology department in supporting the decision-making process of the Wenco system and cost reduction initiatives in line with Site KPl's.
- Providing leadership and direction to the loading equipment operators ensuring that the business and Ore Dilution objectives are met and consistently achieved, according to HSE policies and Geology direction.
- Utilising all available technologies including Wenco FMS and Camera to ensure appropriate Supervision and direction is provided to Loading Operators when digging Ore.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Desired Experience & Competencies:
Minimum 2 years experience with Fleet Management systems such as Wenco or similar at advanced user level. Intermediate knowledge and experience of load and haul processes, overall mining sequences and with heavy machinery. Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite applications and database programs. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels (both written and verbal). Ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all geological and environmental tasks.
Qualifications: Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Manual Drivers Licence.
Passion for Growth: Having the flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices & awareness of the Work Health and Safety Act & (Mines) Regulations with a strong desire to be part of a team contributing to Northern Star's dynamic work environment.
