Operator - Magazine Keeper

We have an exciting opportunity at our Kalgoorlie Underground Operations for an experienced Magazine Keeper. This role is responsible for the safe storage, security and supply of explosives and detonators within the underground Operations. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed underground team on a family friendly 7/7 (12hr) residential roster.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Provide safe handling, transport and storage of explosives.
- Issue explosives stock to the Development and Production Charge Crews as well as manage and record the magazine stock levels and movements.
- Assist in collecting and transporting bulk explosives underground. Provide correct disposal, elimination of wastage of all explosive products.
- Perform thorough Pre-Start check sand report all damage as soon as possible but before the end of shift.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: Previous experience in an underground environment will be highly regarded. The successful candidate will have basic computer literacy skills and highly developed organisational and record keeping skills. Good communication will be key in this role, along with the flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and work practices.
Qualifications: Current “C” Class Manual Drivers Licence, Dangerous Goods Security Card, Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable), Ability to meet all site access requirements (including but not limited to, Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screening, National Police Check)
