Northern Star has a unique opportunity for an Operational Readiness Training Advisor to be part of the KCGM Growth Project Operational Readiness Team. This position will work an 8/6 roster out of Perth, on an initial 12-month-contract.
Reporting to the Operational Readiness Manager - Processing, this key role is responsible for the execution of training deliverables required as part of the project’s operational readiness scope, along with any training required to support the commissioning and ramp up of the asset.
- Facilitate On-the-Job and Classroom Based Training within OR scopes.
- Recordkeeping of training events and supporting evidence uploaded into INX.
- Collaborate with Supervisors and Operators regarding Training Delivery and Operator Development Plans.
- Complete handovers with peers to support continuity of training.
- Conduct competency assessments as instructed by OR Training Advisors.
- Provide subject matter input for the development/review of SWPs, Manuals and other training materials.
- Provide supervision and/or support to Learners for skills development on a Peer-to-Peer basis.
- Provide timely and relevant feedback on operator competency and development to required stakeholders.
- Provide timely and relevant feedback on Training Package’s structure and content to other stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining Fixed Plant Sections’ Training Delivery / Training Session Plans as relevant and up to date
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE 40116 or TAE 40122
- A minimum of three years working as an integral part of a training function or department.
- Significant experience in or exposure to the hydrometallurgical processing industry is highly desirable, as is gold processing plant experience (including flotation & ultra fine grinding).
- Familiarity with INX database modules such as Intuition and the LMS.
- Demonstrated experience in competency-based training and assessment methods.
- Strong computer literacy – Microsoft Office
- A sound working knowledge & understanding of Mines Safety & Inspection Act & Legislation, as well as training/assessment requirements.
