We are seeking expressions of interest for a Metallurgist Superintendent position at our world class

KCGM Operations.  Promising a long term fulfilling future, Join our team and lead our diverse processing team on the convenience of a 5/2, 4/3 (10 hour) residential roster. The successful applicant must reside in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Region

 

Here’s what awaits you:

 

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Metallurgical Team within the Processing Department to a standard that produces succession planning with regards to the Metallurgist Position.
  • Take the lead to develop the Processing Department Budget
  • Ensure that all safety impacts from a metallurgical point of view are addressed displaying a clear commitment to safety and health, and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment
  • Operate in accordance with and comply the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

 

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Gold and hydrometallurgical mining industry with proven abilities to maintain best industry practise in all metallurgical, geological and environmental tasks. This role would suit someone with excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop various team members.

 

Qualifications: Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers License and a Australian Recognised Degree majoring in Chemistry/Metallurgy.
