We have a rewarding Metallurgist position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 8/6 (11-hour day) residential roster. 

**As this is a residential role, the successful applicant must reside in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder region**

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Optimising processing plant comprises of (but not limited to) crushing-grinding circuit, flotation circuit, gravity circuit (Knelson and Acacia), CIL circuit and gold room recovery processes.
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with production and maintenance personnel to ensure a team-based approach to achieving all objectives
  • Conducts plant investigations and improvement projects to improve recovery, increase throughput and reduce cost as required
  • Monitor plant performance analyse operational/assay data and set up systems that provide performance trends that can be used to identify areas and opportunities to improve plant performance

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: The successful applicant will have a Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the mining industry with a demonstrated ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all processing tasks. Familiarity with process control systems and a proven track record of process improvement and/or cost savings project implementation will be highly regarded.

Qualifications: A Degree majoring in Metallurgical Engineering / Extractive Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution and Current C Class (Manual) WA Drivers License.
