We have an enticing residential Maintenance Superintendent position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 8/6 (12-hour days) roster.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Working on a 3–6-month time horizon, you will be responsible for:
- Driving the team deliver on daily, weekly and monthly production and cost targets.
- Monitor and coach team leaders on the key metrics drivers to identify processing maintenance improvement opportunities, within execution standards, reliability engineering processes, defect identification/reporting and elimination. Monitor Work Management Reports to identify improvement opportunities, provide direction and support in relation to Work Management and Pronto improvements.
- Review effectiveness of the Asset’s Life of Asset strategy on an as needed basis. Provide recommendations to stakeholders as required to agree and then implement changes/improvements. Update budget and resource requirements to support the updated strategy.
- Coach and mentor teams in Hazard identification. Participate in safety audits, inspections, and observations, demonstrating visible in field leadership. Proactive involvement with continuous OHS improvement processes and active participation in all communication and awareness systems.
- Enforce escalation process to ensure that issues outside of normal operating boundaries are highlighted, understood, and managed in a timely manner. Empower teams to present value-added ideas & solutions for problem areas.
- Monitor section environmental performance, take appropriate action on areas which require change. Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the mining industry and 2 years of supervisory experience. Strong time management, communication and mentoring skills.
Qualifications: Mechanical Trade Certificate. Current “C” Class Australian Drivers Licence and National Police Clearance.
