Northern Star Resources is currently seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Human Resource Officer to join the Human Resources team.  This is a 12-month fixed-term, residential position in Kalgoorlie, offering a flexible opportunity of either a 5:2 roster, working 9-hour days, or a 5:2/4:3 roster, working 10-hour days.

 

This role is pivotal in supporting our HR Advisors and Talent Advisors, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. If you have a strong administrative background and a passion for organisation, we want to hear from you!

 

Here’s what awaits you: 

 

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to HR Advisors and Talent Advisors, including invoicing, leave auditing, and preparing documentation.
  • Data Management: Assist with maintaining and updating HR related databases with accurate employee information, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Communication: Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service to employees and external partners.
  • Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation and distribution of HR documents, such as contracts, policies, and onboarding materials.
  • Pre-employment & Onboarding Coordination: Assist Talent Advisors with coordinating pre-employment and onboarding functions, ensuring timely completion and adherence to company site entry requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Manage employee records and files, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.

Essential

  • Strong Administrative Skills: Proven experience in an administrative role, with excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organisation.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Time Management Skills: Organised and confident in managing a demanding workload and competing priorities.
  • Western Australian C Class Manual Drivers Licence.
