Northern Star Resources is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Human Resource Officer to join the Human Resources team on a 12-month fixed term basis.  This Kalgoorlie residential opportunity is presented on a 5:2 roster, working 9-hour days; or 5:2/4:3 roster, working 10-hour days.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Support timely and accurate responses to employee queries.
  • Provide a variety of administration support, reporting, monitoring, customer service and communication of relevant information for the Human Resource department.
  • Assist with maintaining HR systems and ensure information is current and accurate, including support with HR data and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, changes, and offboarding.
  • Advise payroll of employee changes.
  • Process invoices and other payments relating to the activities of the Human Resources function.
  • Coordinate the administration of remuneration reviews to ensuring documentation, record keeping and data entry is efficient.
  • Administer the HR aspects of the salary continuance injury management programs, to conform to insurance and Company policies, procedures, and legal compliance requirements.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Essential

  • One to two years’ experience in a HR Administration role or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in ensuring a very high level of attention to detail.
  • Organised and confident in managing a demanding workload and competing priorities.
  • Ability to engage and communicate professionally at all levels within the organisation.
  • A strong understanding of the principles of confidentiality and business ethics.
  • Western Australian C Class Manual Drivers Licence.

 

Preferred

  • Experience within the Mining or Heavy Industrial sectors.
  • Post-secondary qualification within Business/HR discipline.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a continuous improvement culture.
  • Ability to exercise judgement, initiative, and work without supervision at times.
  • Proven ability to communicate efficiently with people from technical and non-technical backgrounds, both internally and externally.
