We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Human Resources Officer to join the HR team at our Kalgoorlie operations on a 12-month fixed term contract.  This residential opportunity is presented on a 5:2 roster, working 9-hour days; or 5:2/4:3 roster, working 10-hour days.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to progress their Human Resources career and gain exposure to all facets of the employee life cycle. The position is integral to the HR team (Recruitment and Advisory), providing administrative support through effectively coordinating Human Resources reporting, administration of benefits, and maintenance of Employee data within the Human Resource Information Systems.

 

Key accountabilities include:

 

  • Monitor, manage, and respond efficiently and accurately to the HR inbox.
  • Provide a variety of administration support, reporting, monitoring, customer service and communication.
  • Maintain HR systems and processes related to the delivery of HR services to ensure accurate and up to date information regarding people management is maintained.
  • Provide administrative support to the Recruitment and Advisor teams by ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Provide supplementary support to the Recruitment Team by assisting in day-to-day activities such as pre-interview phone screens when required.
  • Process invoices and other payments relating to the activities of the Human Resources function.
  • Coordinate the administration of remuneration reviews to ensuring documentation, record keeping and data entry is efficient.
  • Administer the HR aspects of the salary continuance injury management programs, to conform to insurance and Company policies, procedures, and legal compliance requirements.

 

Requirements

 

Essential

  • One year experience in a HR Administration role or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in ensuring a very high level of attention to detail.
  • Organised and confident in managing a demanding workload and competing priorities.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to engage and communicate professionally at all levels within the organisation.
  • A strong understanding of the principles of confidentiality and business ethics.
  • Western Australian C Class Manual Drivers Licence.

 

Preferred

  • Experience within the Mining or Heavy Industrial sectors.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a continuous improvement culture.
  • Proven ability to communicate efficiently with people from technical and non-technical backgrounds, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
