We have an enticing Geology Superintendent - Growth position awaiting you at Kalgoorlie Operations. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed team on the convenience of a residential 5/2, 4/3 (10-hour days) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

The primary role of the Geology Superintendent - Growth is to lead, grow and de-risk the life of asset plans, through high quality geology, accurate geological modelling, cost management and strategic prioritisation.

The successful incumbent will be expected to provide leadership and guidance to the growth team including ensuring the team are aware of their accountabilities.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Qualifications Required

  • A degree in Geology, preferably with Honours, from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.

Desired Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum 10 years’ geological experience in the mining industry in both production and near-mine exploration environment – majority must be in gold and at least 6 years in supervisory capacity.
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Geological Software (Leapfrog, Datamine, Arc GIS).
  • Exposure to resource modelling and estimation.
  • Orebody interpretation skills and resource skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all geological and environmental tasks.
  • St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
  • Awareness of Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
