We have an enticing residential Geologist – Operations position awaiting you at the world class South Kalgoorlie Operation that boasts a +5-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 8/6 (12-hour days) roster. 

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Geology focus – ensuring data and information is captured to the highest quality
  • Production tracking and reconciliation
  • Interpretation – wireframing and mapping
  • Working collaboratively with the mine technical team to ensure quality ore delivery

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Hunger and passion for geology
  • ‘Can-do’ attitude coupled with a growth mindset
  • A production drive with technical thinking
  • Team spirit and a collaborative approach

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience is recommended for this underground production role. Demonstrated ability to learn, set achievable goals and safely achieve tasks is required. Ability to work within a team. Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, datamine and acquire software is preferred. Good communication skills. Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all geological tasks. Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.

Qualifications: Degree majoring in Geology from a recognised tertiary institution (preferably with Honours) and current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
