We are seeking a Community Advisor based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Reporting directly to the Principal Community, the Community Advisor is integral to implementing Northern Star’s Community Strategy throughout the Kalgoorlie Production Centre. Additionally, this role will provide support for community investment initiatives at both the Yandal Production Centre and Pilbara Operations.

 

Key responsibilities in this position include:

  • Build and maintain meaningful stakeholder and community relationships
  • Coordinate site tours of KCGM Operations
  • Coordinate Community Investment Committees
  • Develop content for digital channels
  • Support community and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Assist with implementation of the external community complaints and grievance process
  • Contribute to innovative solutions in managing social impacts

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in social performance, communications or stakeholder engagement (resources sector preferred)
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication for diverse audiences
  • Strong relationship-building abilities in complex settings
  • Advanced problem-solving and practical business solutions
  • Effective multitasking and project organisation under deadlines
