We have a rewarding opportunity for a Classified Plant Officer to join our team at the world class

KCGM Operation! Promising a long term and fulfilling future, Join our diverse Reliability Team on the convenience of a 5/2, 4/3 (9 hour) residential roster. *The successful applicant must reside in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Region*

 

Here’s what awaits you:

 

  • Coordinate the inspections, systems, and records required to ensure all KCGM Registered and Itinerant plant is controlled and maintained in accordance with relevant safety acts and Work health and safety regulations
  • Ensure systems are in place to maintain a Registered Plant Equipment File for each item of the plant including registration certificates, test certificates, inspection reports, manufacturing data reports, and hydrostatic testing reports as required
  • Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported and are followed up correctly to minimise and manage risk and attend investigations where required, ensuring that the Occupational Health and Safety Act is always complied with
  • Regularly follow-up with planners and maintainers on mitigating asset defects and Maintain regular contact with the KCGM Registered Manager providing advice as the Registered Plant Subject Matter Expert

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

 

Qualifications: A Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence with A Mechanical Engineer degree or substantial experience in a relevant Mechanical Trade.
 

Experience: The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years experience in the manufacture and/or maintenance of Registered plants with significant knowledge in legislative requirements related to Registered Plant. This role will suit someone who has strong communication skills and the ability to deal with conflicting priorities in a busy environment.
