We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Advisor to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Senior Sourcing Advisor, this role will be based in our Subiaco office, working Monday to Friday. You will be involved with sourcing initiatives, talent attraction, and employer branding initiatives to support our workforce needs.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies and recruitment campaigns for critical, niche, and repeat roles across Northern Star’s operations.
  • Build, maintain, and optimise long term talent pipelines aligned to current and future demand.
  • Deliver targeted training to the broader recruitment team on best practice talent acquisition strategies.
  • Create and produce employee branding and marketing material for internal and external campaigns such as videography projects and marketing campaigns across all of NSR’s operations.
  • Conduct market research, talent mapping, and competitor analysis to understand emerging skill trends.
  • Analyse and report on internal workforce data and external market data.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and provide advice on talent availability and sourcing strategy.
  • Proactively engage with networking, social media, industry platforms, and direct outreach to increase brand awareness.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience:

  • Proven success identifying and engaging passive candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, talent databases, industry networks, and direct sourcing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment marketing, employer branding, and candidate attraction strategies, including the development and execution of targeted recruitment campaigns.
  • Experience conducting talent mapping, market research, competitor analysis, and workforce planning activities to support hiring decisions.
  • Ability to analyse workforce and labour market data and translate insights into practical recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability partnering with leaders and hiring managers to develop sourcing strategies and provide market intelligence.
  • Experienced in using LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Talent Insights, Power BI and Success Factors.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages.
  • Available to travel to site when required.  

 

Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a similar role in recruitment and strategic sourcing, ideally within the Mining sector.
