Building on the ongoing success of our business growth strategy and succession plan, our Jundee operations are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer - Projects. This role offers a long-term and fulfilling to take lead of all operational and capital project activities, featuring the convenience of back-to-back 8:6 roster. What you can look forward to:

  • Oversee the ventilation department to develop & implement the Ventilation Management Plan.
  • Identify, assess and manage risks in order to improve reliability and performance of underground ventilation systems.
  • Creation and management of Capital expenditure requests.
  • Capital infrastructure planning for budget submissions.
  • Project manage installations and upgrades to capital infrastructure including but not limited to ventilation, pumping and water supply.
  • Complete project work for future ventilation infrastructure or system design.
  • Identify and communicate risks to the delivery of the mine plan to the Technical Services leadership.
  • Maintain infrastructure guidelines and procedures owned by the projects department. 
  • Ensure all capital infrastructure is maintained at business standard and the infrastructure is operating effectively.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

 

Expertise and Accomplishments:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
  • Hold Ventilation Officer ticket (essential).
  • WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate (highly desirable).
  • Relevant experience in the underground metalliferous mining with experience in ventilation network design, implementation, survey and maintenance.
  • Computer literacy – Deswik and VentSim.  
  • Previous experience with contractor management.
  • Strong awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
