We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Safety Training - Supervisor.

Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed Safety and Training team on the convenience of a family friendly 8:6 roster, FIFO from Perth.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety awareness.
  • Develop, coordinate, and monitor procedural systems, processes, and training in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Conducting verification of competency assessments for all employees to ensure skill requirements are met.
  • Undertake regular inspections and task observations to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.
  • Inspect and manage emergency equipment and systems in the underground environment.
  • Maintain accurate training and safety records ensuring compliance has been met.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience:

  • Underground production experience in a mechanised hard rock underground environment.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Workplace Health and Safety (Mining) Regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in competency based training and assessment methods.
  • Previous exposure to incident investigation, auditing processes and workplace inspections.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within all levels of the business.
  • Intermediate competency in excel and presentation applications.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential)
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (desirable).
  • Minimum "C" class unencumbered drivers licence.
