About the role:

Northern Star Resources has an exciting leadership opportunity at our world-class Thunderbox Operations for a Process Technician - Leading Hand (2IC) to join the team and contribute to the ongoing success of the business through safe and efficient production. This opportunity is offered on an 8:6 / 7:7 roster either FIFO from Perth/Busselton or BIBO from Kalgoorlie.

 

Here's what awaits you...

  • Keep the process plant running safely and efficiently within pre-determined process parameters and within pre-determined control limits
  • To ensure the effective recovery of gold from ore processed whilst minimising costs (reagents, diesel, etc)
  • Conduct samples of the process to verify the grade of ore being processed (conveyors, leach tank, cyclones etc)
  • To monitor the process with sampling procedures to ensure targeted metallurgical recoveries are being met
  • Compile production data, collate/complete shift documentation & regulatory environmental inspections as required
  • Step-up into supervisory role as required

 

To thrive in this role, you'll need...

Experience: History of working in crushing and milling within a mineral processing environment, familiar with isolation procedure and able to complete isolations as required, phyically fit, leadership qualities & must be able to work unsupervised on routine tasks

Qualifications: Current Australian Drivers Licence
