The Opportunity
We have an enticing Pit Technician position awaiting you at the world class Carosue Dam Operation that boasts a +5-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed Geotech team on the convenience of an 15/13 roster with 12HR Days & Nights.
Duties include but not limited to,
- Assisting with grade control drilling activities.
- Assisting geologists and surveyors in completing ore mark ups.
- Monitoring of ore mining to minimise ore loss and dilution.
- Monitoring of open pit activities, dozing, grading, and dewatering.
- Assisting with Blast movement tracking activities in the pit.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- 6 - 12 months relevant experience in mining and/or exploration.
- Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
- Current approved and recognised forklift ticket.
- Computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft office products.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to plan daily activities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work unsupervised as required.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
- St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
- Mechanical knowledge and skills (desirable).
- 4WD operation and recovery skills (desirable).
