About our role

Northern Star has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor to actively support the business through the application of employee and industrial relations advice at our world-class Jundee operations. This position is offered permanent full time on a FIFO 8:6 roster.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Providing advice and assistance to supervisors and managers in employment and industrial relations matters
  • Business partnering with Supervisors and Managers to engage with their teams and support positive employment outcomes
  • Measuring and monitoring the sites HR performance based upon appropriate metrics
  • Coordinate site recruitment needs and liaise with the Corporate recruitment team and assist in the onboarding of new employees.
  • Assisting with employee related investigations and facilitating discussions, meetings and outcomes
  • Supporting the research and development of company-wide HR strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Administering site based employees salary and benefit variations
  • Supporting the transfer of employees between sites, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and processed
  • Maintain HR data including organisational charts, databases and systems.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a HR Advisor role, or similar
  • Experience within the mining industry, preferably in a site based role
  • Experience with Pronto, SAP Success Factors systems or other HRIS would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

 

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualification in Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations, or relevant experience
  • Current Australian C – Class Drivers licence
