About the role:

Northern Star Resources has an exciting leadership opportunity at our world-class Jundee Operations. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the team on a permanent basis working 8 days on, 6 days off rotation, FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role will lead the Electrical teams in a safe and productive work environment by ensuring all work practices/procedures meet statutory & company OHS&E operational standards within the Maintenance Department and will hold the statutory role of Electrical Supervisor as per Mines Regulations.

  • Lead the team in the maintenance of a safe and productive work environment by ensuring the development and implementation of safe work practices/ procedures that meet statutory and company OHS&E requirements.
  • Contribute to the planning process that enables production and processing optimisation.
  • Manage electrical personnel to ensure the effective maintenance of plant and ancillaries so that business targets and goals are achieved to maximum effect.
  • Work closely with the Process Supervisor/s to ensure the process plant and facilities available are such that the key resources and assets are effectively utilised and optimised.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives & ensure activities are carried out in a cost effective manner.
  • Lead the training and development of staff through following up on needs identified through the process as well as development and follow through on competency profiles developed for all roles reporting.
  • Proactively contribute to self-development through active participation in the performance management system.

 

To thrive in this role, you'll need...

Experience: Prior leadership experience in a similar role, sound operational knowledge of fixed processing plant equipment, Delta V and SCADA experience, ability to interpret wiring diagrams, P&ID's and other engineering drawings, Pronto and MS Office

Qualifications: Electrical Trade Qualification, HV Switching Certification, Electrical Instrumentation Certification, Frontline management or equivalent desirable (preferably within a gold processing plant), Current Australian Drivers Licence
