We have an enticing Tradesperson – Fixed Plant Electrical residential position awaiting you at the world class Kalgoorlie Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour day & night shift) roster.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Company and industry safety standards and legislative requirements. Demonstrate safe work practice and work safely, reporting identified hazards.
- Display a clear commitment to responsible environmental management. Operate in accordance with the Company’s Environmental Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure open communication with stakeholders are well informed with activities, work or tasks being undertaken in the stakeholder’s area. Operate in accordance with Company’s Stakeholder Policy.
- Ensure maintenance is conducted according to the manufacturer recommendation and procedures. Receive and discuss daily instructions from Supervisor and Leading Hand. Ensure all defects or repairs are reported as required.
- Identify correct parts and equipment for all planned and unplanned jobs as necessary. Return unused parts to designated areas. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and contractors.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience: Minimum 1 year’s relevant experience in the mining industry. Competent computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems (e.g. Pronto), word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to work unsupervised and to train and pass on knowledge to Maintenance personnel. Sound diagnostic skills and technical skills. Ability to follow direction and be proactive in seeking guidance and have flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
Qualifications: Electrical Trade Qualification, Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence and a Western Australian Construction White Card
