Tradesperson - Electrical - Leading Hand

We have an enticing Tradesperson - Electrical - Leading Hand position awaiting you at the Kanowna Belle Operations. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12 hour) days only residential roster.


Here's what awaits you:

  • Execution of maintenance activities on all Fixed Plant Equipment, as directed, in a safe and efficient manner, whilst adhering to Company Standards, Policies and Procedures
  • Proactive engagement on all safety issues and adherence to required controls
  • Actively working with the maintenance systems to assist the facilitation of continuous improvement

 

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current Western Australian A Grade Electrical Licence
  • Low Voltage Rescue
  • Provide CPR
  • Provide First Aid
  • Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence

Desired Experience & Competencies:

  • Experience in the mining industry, 4 years minimum
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and controls
  • Ability to act as step-up for the Electrical Supervisor on an as required basis
  • Ability to lead a team of electricians in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Rockwell PLC Systems.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends or overtime as needed.
  • WAE100/200 In-House Electrical Nominee
  • High Voltage Switching Operations Certificate
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
