About The Role

We have an enticing Senior Maintenance Technician position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a 10+year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed team on the convenience of a 5/2/4/3 (10 hour day shift only) residential roster.

As this is a residential role, the successful applicant will reside in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Carryout maintenance activities on all Fixed Plant Equipment as directed, in a safe and efficient manner
  • Execute work in accordance with the schedule, scope and quality standards within agreed timeframes
  • Actively work with the maintenance systems to assist the facilitation of continuous improvement
  • Proactively engage on safety issues and adherence to required controls

 

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Desired Experience & Competencies:

  • Experience in the mining industry, 4 years minimum
  • Ability to act as step-up for the Fimiston Electrical Maintenance Supervisor as required
  • Carry out the risk management process RIIRIS402E OR Contribute to WHS risk management BSBWHS414
  • Implement and monitor WHS policies BSBWHS411
  • APPT-(STAT) - Electrical Supervisor
  • Enter & Work in Confined Spaces RIIWHS202
  • Gas Test Atmospheres MSMWHS217

  • EWP [WP]
  • HRWL - Forklift [LF]
  • HRWL - Rigging Basic [RB]
  • Provide First Aid HLTAID011

  • High Voltage Switching Operations Certificate
  • Sound understanding of Fixed Plant maintenance principals and their application in practice
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Pronto Xi
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to improved Asset Management procedures and practices

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current Western Australian A Grade Electrical licence
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
  • Low Voltage Rescue UETTDRRF06
  • Provide CPR HLTAID009
