We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Geologist - Growth within our Kalgoorlie Operations.

 

This position will see the successful candidate designing and supervising the execution and interpretation of drill programs that add value to existing resources, locating the next viable ore bodies, and extending the Life of Mine.

 

  • Permanent position on an 8:6, 12 hours per day residential roster.
  • Relocation Packages to assist with moving to Kalgoorlie available for the ideal candidate.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide training and mentorship to Junior Geologists.
  • Coordinate the design, scheduling, and oversight of drilling programs to ensure the provision of timely and accurate data for analysis. Liaise and clearly communicate plan with numerous stake holders.
  • Supervise drill contractors, demanding adherence to all relevant environmental, safety and security measures.
  • Oversee the analysis, interpretation, and modelling of geological data.
  • Creating detailed wireframes of geology and mineralisation to guide our exploration efforts.

 

Required skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geology (minimum degree).
  • Minimum Three (3) years’ geology experience in a mining environment, preferably within a gold mining operation, with experience of drill rig management.
  • Experience with software packages such as Datamine, Leapfrog and Acquire.
  • Exposure to geological modelling and wireframing.
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.
