We have an enticing Open Pit Supervisor position awaiting you at the iconic KCGM Superpit that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, your journey begins efficiently directing and monitoring Loading and Ancillary equipment activities, at our Open Pit Mine. This Residential Role is on a Lifestyle/Family Friendly Even Time Roster - 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on and 7 days off.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

 

  • Providing leadership & direction to unit operators ensuring that production targets are achieved in timely, safe and most efficient manner and mining methods are achieved in adherence to plans.
  • Monitoring & managing performance of unit operators.
  • Working in conjunction with dispatch operators ensuring adequate dig rates and mitigating risks.
  • Preparing & providing various reports.
  • Engaging with peer supervisors and other service/support roles to help team & site achieve strategic objectives.
  • Ensuring all incidents are acted upon as per legislative and site protocols.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

 

Experience:

       Essential

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience including operation of machinery in an open pit mine or quarry. Including a minimum of two (2) years in a leading hand role in a similar sized operation
  • Experience in performance management of team members enhancing team self-esteem with the ability to coach, mentor and influence others
  • Good computer literacy with ability to use integrated management systems, spreadsheet applications and word processing software
  • Exposure to a range of workplace safety systems
  • Leadership and Supervisory Training

 

       Preferred

  • Conflict Management Training
  • Current Quarry Managers Certificate
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “MR” Class Drivers Licence

 

 

Qualifications: Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.
