About This Role:

 

Northern Star’s KCGM iconic Superpit is searching for high performing Mobile Maintenance Planner to provide maintenance planning and scheduling to support the sites truck and ancillary fleet planning activities. The Mobile Maintenance Planner reports to the Senior Planner. This role is a residential role based at our KCGM Operations on 5/2/4/3 dayshift only  (9.5-hour shifts including lunch break). The successful applicant will reside in the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region.

 

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

Working closely with the engineering and maintenance execution team, this pivotal role is responsible for:

• Preparation and delivery of the maintenance plan for equipment;

• Identifying and pro-actively initiating maintenance improvement opportunities;

• Providing technical support and advice to the operation;

• Managing work order data and maintenance documentation;

• Ordering of planned components and parts

• Interacting during execution events to continuously improve planning accuracy;

• Proactively engage in safety improvement initiatives.

 

Success in this role will be a high performing Maintenance Planner developing accurate Work Packs that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of work execution, The Maintenance Planner will consistently improve business systems through Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and be considered a leader in Work Management and be able to provide coaching and training effectively.

 

Required skills and experience:

 

Required

▪ Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence

 

Desired Experience & Competencies

▪ Trade Certificate and/or Degree in Engineering

▪ Minimum 5 years relevant mining experience in a maintenance environment

▪ Computer literacy - Microsoft Office, Pronto Xi

▪ Good communication skills

▪ Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all Work Management tasks.

▪ Flexibility to adapt to improved Asset Management procedures and practices.

▪ Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.

▪ Exposure to AMT will be considered advantageous.
