Maintenance Supervisor – Kanowna Belle

Northern Star has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the Mechanical Maintenance team at our Kanowna Belle Operations in Kalgoorlie, on a residential basis.

 

As the Maintenance Supervisor at Kanowna Belle, you will report to the Maintenance Superintendent, and the primary role is to lead the Maintenance Operations team in a safe and productive work environment by ensuring all work practices/procedures meet statutory, Company and OHS&E and company operational standards within the Maintenance Department.   

 

** This is a residential role based at our Kanowna Belle Operations on a 5/2/4/3 roster (10 hour days) and enjoy a long weekend every two weeks. The successful applicant will reside in the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region. **

 

 

Required qualifications:

 

  • Frontline management or equivalent desirable.
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence

 

Desired Experience and Competencies:

 

  • Current Police Clearance
  • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
  • Sound understanding of fixed plant maintenance principals and their application in practice
  • Sound knowledge of operation of fixed processing plant equipment
  • High level of knowledge in statutory safety and environmental requirements relevant to plant maintenance and classified plant
  • Good level of knowledge in computer literacy, in particular Pronto and MS Office
  • Solid awareness of Maintenance Management Systems and maintenance practices in a processing environment
  • Ability to plan and or anticipate likely scenarios as related to all key responsibility areas
  • Able to effectively allocate the organisation’s resources to achieve business requirements
  • Lead Contractor work groups plant during shutdowns to achieve high scheduled compliance to agreed plan.
  • Ability to develop appropriate action plans in order to respond to current and emerging issues.
  • A trade qualification (desirable)
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices
  • Awareness of the Worker Health and Safety Act & Regulations
