We have an enticing experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic position awaiting you at the iconic KCGM Superpit that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, your journey begins in a dynamic work environment at our Open Pit Workshop. This residential position is on a 5:2 roster, working 10-hour days, providing a great work-home life balance - be home every night!

 

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Performing preventative and break-down maintenance on Company light vehicles (LV) and lighting plants, ensuring planned maintenance and operations-based activities are followed to meet site operational plans, targets and objectives.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to Apprentices to assist in their development in their chosen career.
  • Liaising with the LV Coordinator to ensure any additional tasks identified are captured in the planning process and required parts are available as required.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

 

Qualifications:

  • Trade certificate in Automotive Mechanics, or relevant related discipline.

 

Experience:

Essential

  • Diesel or Light Vehicle mechanic experience.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise break down work.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to take direction well.
  • Good customer services skills.
  • Intermediate level computer literacy
  • Basic experience in a maintenance management system
  • Must reside within the Goldfields region, or willing to relocate.
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Manual Drivers Licence.

Preferred

  • Previous experience with lighting towers, light vehicle and light truck (Isuzu) maintenance.
  • Previous experience with Toyota fleet.
